Hotel Information
For the week of May 7th - 14th, we are staying and getting married at Emerald Bay.  The other hotel recommended by the travel agent, Pueblo Bonito, is under the same ownership.  An easy and free shuttle (approx. 15 minutes) is available for transportation between the two hotels.  By staying at either of these locations you are able to use the facilities (pool, spa and restaurants) of either resort.

For those looking to be more centrally located to downtown Mazatlán and public beaches, you may want to consider Pueblo Bonito.  For those looking for a more secluded resort atmosphere (and close to us!), Emerald Bay would be a better choice.  Either way, a free shuttle or a taxi can get you into town.

Other Travel Options
If you would like additional options we also recommend the following hotels:
El Cid Castilla
, El Cid El Moro, Costa De Oro and Playa Mazatlán

For a map of Mazatlán hotels, click here.  Emerald Bay is just north of the top of the map.

If you're planning on making your own flight reservations, we suggest looking into these airlines: Alaska Airlines, America West, Mexicana or Delta.  Travel websites (Expedia, Travelocity and Orbitz) are also great options for finding which airlines fly from your area to Mazatlán.

Shuttles and Taxis
Here are some suggestions for transportation from the airport to your hotel.  A taxi, which can be found right outside the airport, to Pueblo Bonito should cost $26USD.  A taxi to Emerald Bay should cost $35USD.  Another option is a shuttle, tickets can be bought at a booth right outside the airport, which should cost $9USD per person.  Be forewarned, the shuttle stops at all hotels and the trip can be lengthy.

For transportation throughout the week, taxi's are readily available.  We suggest asking for the price before you enter the taxi.  Prices can almost always be negotiated for less.  There is also a regular bus route that travels through nearly all parts of Mazatlán.  The bus is definitely the most inexpensive way to get around.

!!! Passport Needed !!!
Starting January 8th, 2007, everyone needs a passport to travel to Mexico.  For more information visit this government site.
